This was done as either one of those, "spur of the moment" pieces where I am so taken with a flash of inspiration I immediately have to sit down and render it out, or I was really bored and in front of a computer. At this point in time I can't remember which it was but no matter, then end result is the same. I've got an interesting little drawing and I'm sharing it with the world.

I think the thing that I'm so taken with in this piece is not the looseness, the point of view or even the way the elements work together. Rather it's the idea I get every time I look at this piece that just out of the frame there's a somewhat hairy, somewhat smelly, and definitely sketchy individual in coveralls enjoying a noon-time sandwich before he trundles back to his janitorial rounds. It's the idea that here's a most amazing thing, a complete fossilized fish skeleton, not given a second thought because the people that have access to it are either too ignorant to know it's worth or too disinterested in the find to really do anything about it.
