As I stated before I've long been fascinated with clockwork mechanisms and they appear quite frequently in my work. This particular piece was done for a small company who published a little known horror role-playing game called, "Whispering Vault". In the end I was so taken with this terrifying visage that I found myself almost unwillingly using parts of it in other images and even today whenever I try creating a robot I invariably start with a pill shaped head.
On an interesting side note the owner of the company this image was created for, was also so taken with the piece that he bought the original and it's currently hanging on his bedroom wall. |
