Yet another example of my fascination with fish and clockworks.
Gabriel Fish is one of my first attempts at throwing down paint and leaving it, something that I've struggled with my whole career. I tend to pick and prod a piece, adding detail upon detail until hours later I realize that I've missed the forest for the trees. Instead of a solid piece of art I've got a mishmash of fiddly little detailed bits. SO in an attempt to start seeing less as more, I started these little exercises. The result? Only time can tell but I am quite happy with the initial results. Gabriel and his Fish reside in a state of perpetual beauty resplendent with unfinished grace. |
