If you've ever had the pleasure, (or displeasure), of hearing the finer points of my theories on art you'll know it is a firm and lasting belief of mine that art should, above all else, evoke emotion an let me tell you, nothing evokes an emotion like seeing someone with their bits sewn together... Or open, or closed. "Cackling Fiend" was one of my very first assignments for the "Magic: The Gathering" collectable card game and as I had just gotten my legs under me as a professional illustrator, this was a very big event. Needless to say I pulled out all the stops and as a result this poor soul got the stitching of a lifetime. |
